Symphony in F Major 'Depictions of Love' |
|
| One
of Stuart's latest achievements has been his Symphony in F Major:
Depictions of Love. This page will soon incluce links to download a short
preview of each of the
movements, and a brief description of the inspiration behind the music.
Keep checking back for information on the symphony's forthcoming release. This symphony aims to explore the diverse emotions experienced in ‘loving’ and ‘being in love’, from extreme beauty, tenderness, joy and seduction, right through to insurmountable sadness, hurt, anger, horror and loneliness at it’s break down or loss. But it concludes, as I always feel compelled to do, in a positive way, in-keeping with the saying ‘it’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved. Every good thing must come to an end, but perhaps we should attempt to focus on the joy it has brought to us. As we all know, loving and being in love isn’t just enjoying the pleasure of giving and receiving affection. It entails every kind of emotion known to mankind. It’s only when we sincerely love someone that we, at times, feel hurt, confused and angry. Otherwise we would be indifferent to these emotions. Just like the journey of love, I would like this symphony to be a journey of discovery ; highs, lows, extreme beauty and joy, intense horror and sadness, concluding with a wholesome acceptance that THIS IS LOVE, AND LIFE. |

First
Movement The Colours of Love |
We hear a build up to love in
it's full glory. There follows sad times and trials, but then more romance
is sweet medicine. Trials re-emerge leading to massive frustration, mental
pain, fierce clashes and furious anger. There follows extreme sadness,
regret, then remorse. In true lovers' fashion, the 'making up' is evident
next in these playful passages. And to complete the circle of love,
romance creeps back to finish the movement. |

Second
Movement The Beauty of Innocence |
Love
takes so many forms and one of the most beautiful is the innocent,
trusting love of your child. This movement attempts to put into music
those trusting eyes, the playful laughter, the tears, the warm glow of
'being needed' and returning that tender care; the pure joy of an
unconditionally loving companion that makes the heart sing and the soul
embrace, the beauty of having 'Cuteness on tap'. |
|
Third Movement A Classic Romance |
Shall we dance? Eyes meet across the dance floor. Beauty beholds.
Opposites attract and true magic fills the air, the kind where nothing
else matters and all negativity disappears. Awash with true joy and
euphoria, the world is in your hands. |

Fourth
Movement The Ultimate Act of Love |
This begins tentatively, but with flurries of excitement. The chase begins: in hot pursuit of that love with which we are besotted and obsessed, we invest every last drop of mental and physical energy to reach out goal. The prize almost in out grasp, she begins to tease and we melt in her 'dance of seduction'. This Latin dance gives way to pure frenzied excitement and leads, finally, to the ultimate act of love. Playfulness, frolicking, laughing and joking leads to the intimate loving conclusion. |
